Coming in at just under an hour, this EP by Italian space-noisemakers packs quite a wallop. The title of the EP is taken from a ?70?s Italian sci-fi movie, but these boys from Tuscany add a few nasty horror bits to the mix. Their noise and drone is trippy, but with just the right amount of harrowing shriek to keep it from turning into a shoegazing effort. In other words, what is disturbing in their fantasies is what saves them, and their music.
There is noise, there is a creepy lull, there is noise, there is something not quite right, sorta spooky but not, to this. Which means that is works, like its apparent inspiration. Shlock and shock abound, as does a sense of fun and menace that make the time go by easily. Deadburger is ragged and full bluster, like a good sci-fi epic soundtrack from a very odd place. 7/10 --
