Yes, that?s right ? 10 out 10! Sssnacksss!! This is that hydrosonically grown, sum-of-all-sums, bombin-the-fuck-out, ill shit! Baltimore duo, Tom Boram and Dan Breen take inspired weirdness to the outermost limits of strange adding in lots of just good ol? fun. First off, you can?t deny the impressive packaging and picture disc vinyl which features a hypercolor cornucopia of vegetables and electronics and batteries and wires? one of the most beautiful platters I?ve seen in a long time. As for the music?well, to those about to rock this joint?you know how it goes. Snacks deliver some insane genre-jumping shorties that swing from one end of the spectrum to the other? spontaneous cut-ups and party-jamms for the ADHD and disorderly. The first side kicks off with a crazy spastic drum-and-analogue blaster and ends with a tight-ass weirdo jazz-funk jammer. The second side opens with a brokencircuit electro jamm and finishes with a beatless cutup of analog electronics belching, bleeping, and farting their way to the finish. Goddamn if I didn?t play this over and over? did it say this shit was ti-ight? Oh yeah, guess I did. Artwork of the utmost sickness worked out by Snacks and Sarah Milinski and hand-screened jackets by Jen Kirby. Only 500 pressed. 10/10 --
