This is what we call a palate cleanser. It blows whatever carbon has been built up in your head by assaulting you with twisted analog synths. It doesn’t have to do it with feedback, though there is plenty of that, but let those sweet oscillations wash over you and you’ll realize that old Dead Machines and Nautical Almanac were right all along.
This disc appears to contain some wicked sounding demo recordings filled with twists and turns, buzzes, howls and belches of the wicked nightmares of Robert Moog. The Aural Live tracks take an unhinged turn at the work established by the demos and laid it all out there. Sounding like the battle between electronic squeaky toys, Head Boggle make it gnarly. 8/10 --
