Pivixki consists of Max Kohane on drums and Anthony Pateras on piano. This disc consists of 8 brief tracks that seem to cram the intensity of grindcore and free jazz improvisation into a duo format. "Ayala Valva" (the fifth track) is an exception, consisting of very slow, minimal piano and a bit of incidental percussion. Otherwise, it basically sounds like death metal drumming with someone pounding on a piano. The drumming is pretty impressive, but the piano sort of rubs me the wrong way.
